No Whining on Wine Day!

At Ling & Louie’s, you never need an excuse to enjoy a glass of one of our delicious wines! But if you’re looking for a reason to indulge, why not join us on National Wine Day on May 25? We’re serving an Accolade Wine Dinner you won’t want to miss.

The wines we’re featuring that evening are definitely not for boring people. You might want to try Da Luca Pinot Grigio from Sicily. This wine is light bodied with a hint of sweetness from melon and guava flavors balanced nicely by crisp acidity and lip-smacking minerality.

Do you enjoy citrus flavored wines? If so, you’ve got to try Mud House ‘The Woolshed Vineyard’ Sauvignon Blanc. This exclusive New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc has very limited availability here in the United States. The wine overflows with concentrated tropical, citrus and herbaceous flavors that continue across a long, focused finish.

If you like cherries and strawberries, you’ll probably like Geyser Peak ‘Pluto’s Fury’ Pinot Noir. This delicious Pinot Noir from Sonoma’s Russian River Valley is highlighted by luscious flavors of plum, cherry, wild strawberry and a hint of floral and black tea notes.

Grant Burge Shiraz. There’s nowhere on earth that makes more highly acclaimed Shiraz than the Barossa Valley in Australia. The Burge family has been making wine there since 1855 and this wine shows their expertise. The wine is multi-layered with intense depth and texture, flavors of raspberry, blackberry, vanilla and star anise.

Feeling a little wild? You’ll definitely want to try Da Luca Prosecco that offers fresh and zingy flavors of lemon peel and passion fruit all balanced by a subtle sweetness and a clean finish.

Wine has been around for a long time. The oldest bottle of wine was discovered in 1867 by archaeologists in Germany. It’s believed the bottle dates back to at least 325 AD. You can view it at Germany’s History Museum of the Pfalz.
