Whiskey Recipes You’ll Be Darned If You Don’t Try This Whiskey Month

Many are intimidated by the thought of a whiskey cocktail. After all, whiskey is the “water of life” that should never be tainted with tap water ice cubes, generic cola or any other impurities that might compromise its well-earned flavor. So how exactly does one go about mastering the whiskey cocktail? Well, we can’t say it’s simple but with a little help from our experts we think you might just be able to concoct something you’ll be proud to serve to your friends during our celebration of whiskey this September!

Below, you’ll find recipes for a traditional Old Fashioned as many of you might recognize it (a la Don Draper) and another of our original Ling & Louie’s creations crafted by our very own mixologists.

Traditional

.5 oz. Simple Syrup

2 – 3 dashes Angostura Bitters

2 oz. Bourbon or Rye Whiskey

Combine the ingredients in a rocks glass and fill with ice. Stir briskly for 30 seconds and garnish with a lemon peel.

3 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
